English: In 1921, in the capital, the Vivanco sisters insist on calling Inspector Saldaña Ernestito and on both going to jail, although only one, Hortensia, is accused of both of their crimes. The other, Teresa, commits robberies in her hotel and also ends up in jail. At Saldaña’s request, the prison director, Colonel Tejero, protects the Vivancos from the mockery of the other inmates and the harshness of the jailers, but they must wear the standard striped uniforms. Trini, whom Hortensia met at Raquel’s brothel, is admitted to the prison and is welcomed by the Vivancos in their well-appointed cell. The Vivancos inadvertently get involved in a marijuana scandal, as other inmates have given them a pot of the plant, which Saldaña managed to hide. The Vivancos, with permission to leave for on the day of the jail, they elude the police officer who is supposed to escort them and go to a party held by their acquaintances, Don Raimundo and Doña Conchita. They spend the night with their friends, return to the prison, get angry with Saldaña and Tejero, who assumed they had escaped, and give Trini some of the clothes worn by a wealthy woman to facilitate her escape, as the young woman is worried about the fate of her three-year-old daughter in Guanajuato. There, Trini is welcomed and housed by family and friends of the Vivancos, whom everyone suspects is on their farm. Since the Vivancos, with their naiveté, provoke a pitched battle between the prisoners, Tejero speeds up the proceedings to bring them to trial, in which they are acquitted. After saying goodbye to the prison with tears and “Las Golondrinas,” the Vivancos discover in Guanajuato that their niece Cristina has given birth to a daughter named Teresa Hortensia. A petición de Saldaña, el director del penal, coronel Tejero, pone a las Vivanco al abrigo de las burlas de las demás presas y de la Dureza de los carceleros, pero ellas deben usar el traje a rayas reglamentario. Entra a la cárcel Trini, a quien Hortensia conoció en el burdel de Raquel, y es recibida por las Vivanco en su bien instalada celda. Las Vivanco se someten sin querer en un lío de mariguana, pues otras presas les han regalado una maceta con esa planta que Saldaña logró ocultar. Las Vivanco, con permiso para salir por un día de la cárcel, eluden al policía que debe escoltarlas y van a una fiesta de sus conocidos don Raimundo y doña Conchita. Pasan la noche con sus amigos, vuelven al penal, se enojan con Saldaña y Tejero, que las han supuesto huidas, y dan a Trini una ropa de señora rica que han traído para facilitar su fuga, pues la joven está preocupada por la suerte de su hijita de tres años en Guanajuato. Ahí Trini s bien recibida y alojada por familiares y amigos de las Vivanco q quienes todos suponen en su hacienda. Como las Vivanco provocan con su ingenuidad una batalla campal entre las presas. Tejero apresura los trámites para someterlas a u n juicio en el que resultan absueltas. Despedidas del penal con lloros y con “Las Golondrinas”, las Vivanco encuentran en Guanajuato que su sobrina Cristina ha tenido una hija llamada Teresa Hortensia.
